Meet Meet Maria del Mar Fernández — the sexy, Spanish voice behind the hit song Senorita in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The 29-year-old Flamenco singer from Cadiz, Andalucia will be coming to India this month for a concert in Mumbai and she’s excited about her maiden visit to the country. 

“There is a lot I want to learn about India. India’s spirituality and culture always intrigued me. There will be so much to explore,” says Fernández. Recording Senorita in Madrid, she says, was one of the funniest experiences of her life. “I was told that the actress would be dancing while singing the song in the movie so I danced all through the recording and didn't stop even for a minute. It was real fun!” She adds that she had no idea that the song would become a sensation. "When I learned that it's a hit, I couldn't' believe it. It felt great that my song got an opportunity to be showcased in Bollywood."

Fernández says she became a fan of Bollywood after watching Slumdog Millionaire and would love to work in an Indian movie some day.  “I would love to act in a Bollywood film if I get a chance. It's altogether a different world for me but it's so exciting.” No points for guessing whom she would want as her leading man. “I am totally floored by Hrithik Roshan’s dancing skills and I will love to work with him again,” she says.
