On Friday, November 30, Google+ users are buzzing about the release of iTunes 11. The highly anticipated iTunes 11 was due to be released earlier this year, but after a delay, it became available on November 29.
This latest version of iTunes boasts a stripped-down interface, complete with the familiar playback controls; consolidated music view controls, including videos and artist genres, displayed above the album grid display; and a "mini player" for accessing music outside of the library.
The launch of the new iTunes is causing a buzz on Google+, with users sharing their largely positive views on the software.
Dave Taylor writes "Playing with iTunes 11 and so far, I'm impressed. It's a very different UI but they've done some neat things. The best, so far? The mini-player display... ." Chris Lauretano states "Each new feature I discover in iTunes 11 makes me happier than the last. Individual volume mixers for each AirPlay output (it remembers previous levels). So wonderful." Romana Challans is also impressed by the software, posting, "I am genuinely liking the new iTunes...it is definitely faster (once opened)."
Others, however, are less than impressed with the new updates, such as Steven Buehler, who posted "iTunes has officially jumped the shark. DO NOT like the new layouts," and Jennifer Broderick, who writes "Does Anyone Care That iTunes 11 Looks Nice if It Still Isn't Spotify?"
Elsewhere on Google+ pictures of dogs are being shared under the fun hashtag "FidoFriday."
