Amitabh Bahchan's abdominal surgery was performed successfully at the Seven Hills hospital in suburban Andheri. "Thank you all for your wishes and prayers. The surgery went off well and dad is now in the room resting," tweeted son Abhishek Bachchan.
"Amitabh Bachchan undergoing abdominal surgery, doctors say his condition is stable," Star News had tweeted.

"Ok in hospital and ready to get some investigations, before they allow me to sleep," Bachchan wrote on his blog.
Seven Hills is the same hospital where his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan delivered a baby girl last year.
