After Pakistani cricketer Mohd Asif was found guilty in the spot fixing scandal, his former girlfriend, Pakistani actor Veena Malik, who had claimed to have proof against him, says she is not surprised.
In an interview to Pakistani channel Geo TV, Veena, 27, said, “Asif was involved in these types of activities (sic).”
She added, “I was the only person who would tell Asif not to take part in such activity.”
The actor said that while she was not surprised, she had hoped for a better outcome. She also said that she felt sorry for him as he had told her that cricket was his first love.
After the case came to light last year, Veena had said that she would hand over proof to ICC.
