A chartered accountant who worked at Balaji Telefilms from 2009 to 2012 has lodged a complaint with Mumbai police, alleging that actor Jeetendra, his wife Shobha Kapoor and other staffers at Balaji harassed him. According to a Mumbai tabloid, Gaurav Chopra said that when he learned about Balaji’s alleged “unprofessional dealings”, he advised them to refrain from it but Balaji paid no heed. He claimed that when he said he wanted to resign, Shobha threatened to implicate him in a false case.
Income Tax authorities on Tuesday conducted searches on Balaji Telefilms, its sister concern Balaji Motion Pictures, Ekta Kapoor, her father Jeetendra, mother Shobha and brother Tusshar following information of alleged tax evasion. (AFP Photo)
