Every year, Bollywood awaits the launch of various celebrity photographers’ calendars. Next year, there will be another interesting calendar to look out for. The makers of Ghanchakkar — UTV Motion Pictures and director Raj Kumar Gupta — are set to release a calendar starring their lead actors,

Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi.

“Both of them carry several different looks in the film. The makers are confident that the audiences will love to see them in these different avatars. Making a calendar is a way of just compiling the looks,” reveals a source close to the unit, adding, “Besides, it will work as a collector’s item of sorts too.” The news of the calendar will be formally announced somewhere near the release time of the film in June. The source adds, “The entire team of the film wants to reveal this information properly in June. Right now, they’re busy finalising the details of the designs and the photographs among other aspects of the calendar.”

So where will this calendar be available to buy once it’s launched? “It will be sold at all the leading bookstores so that people have access to it. They are still working on what to price it at; they will know for sure by the end of this year,” says the source, adding that the calendar will be gifted to all the industry biggies.

Despite making numerous attempts to contact Raj Kumar, he remained unavailable for a comment.
