David Dhawan faints, scares son

Director David Dhawan suddenly fainted while chatting with Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan at the wedding reception of producer Bunty Walia. David Dhawan was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital.

Sanjay and Abhishek tried to revive him, but weren't successful. Doctors later revealed

that David Dhawan's sigar levels had gone below normal level.

Even as the doctors who have been attending to him have declared him to be out of danger, his health and diet are being closely monitored. While Rohit (David's elder son) is staying by his father's side, Varun Dhawan is expected to return from Bangkok where he is presently shooting.

As the filmmaker was being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, his younger son, actor Varun immediately boarded the next available flight (from Bangkok) to reach Mumbai to be by his father’s side. Dhawan’s low blood sugar levels apparently caused the fainting and the family is worried about it. When contacted, Varun said, “My father is absolutely fine now. He has been discharged and is taking rest at home. But it was a very scary experience for us.”
