Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra become B-town’s new BFFs

Actresses make more news for their tales of rivalry than revelry. However, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra seem to be defying the trend, as they have been hanging out with each other quite often.
“We have always been friends. Not many have seen us bonding, that’s why they get surprised,”
says Deepika.
They two were recently seen chatting at a film event in the city. “She is a great person,” says Deepika, talking at Tanishq’s IVA-Race 2 fashion jewellery launch.
Rumours of a tiff between the two surfaced around the release of Anjaana Anjaani (2010).
The film starred Priyanka and Deepika’s then-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika, however, has put that phase behind her. She is now only focussing on her films — Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ram Leela and Chennai Express.
“This year will be special. I’ve never been so busy. But I am not complaining,” she says.
