He may have given her a Bollywood break, but Parineeti Chopra doesn’t want to be romantically linked to Maneesh Sharma. The actor gets extremely furious when asked about her alleged relationship with Maneesh (who directed her in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, 2011). She says, “How can I date him? He’s 10
years older than me.” Parineeti adds, “I’m going to slap the next person who asks me this. It’s irritating to read such reports when none of them hold any truth. Maneesh has made me what I am. He gave me my first film. How can you say such things? Maneesh is just like what Adi (Aditya Chopra, filmmaker) is to me.” Parineeti, who will be hosting the upcoming Great Indian Music Awards, is thrilled to make her debut as an anchor. She says, “Until last year, I was just part of the audience watching these shows. This time, I’ll be the host. It feels great.”

Recently, there were reports that Parineeti rejected film offers because she was cast either as the second lead or the supporting role. She says, “That’s not true. So far, I’ve only been offered lead roles, but they haven’t been the kind that I want to take up.” She says there’s a lot lined up, though: “I have Maneesh’s film that will go on the floors in December. Then there are a few projects, which I can’t reveal right now. The advertisements I’ve shot for have also started airing.”

Parineeti is also impressed with her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s music album. She says, “I have heard a few songs from the album and they’re great. All of us in the Chopra family are singers. I’m glad that Priyanka did this; now we can all follow.”
