He might have faced perhaps the biggest shock of his life when his Twilight co-star and girlfriend, actor Kristen Stewart, 22, cheated on him with a married British film director and then issued an public apology, but Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson is not really ready to talk about

it.

As to how he is coping with the entire incident, the British actor says, “There is this whole thing about wanting to know more and more about celebrities. But really, all that everyone wants to do, is they want them to be celebrities again. However ridiculous that is to say, no one really wants to know.” If you still prod him about the incident, Robert tries his best to dodge the topic that made world headlines and shocked millions of Twilight fans. “I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life and that’s really the only reason people bring it up. The reason you go on to TV is to promote movies. That’s the only way to do it (and not talk about your personal life),” says R-Patz, as he is fondly called.

He goes on to describe his life as “like being on the craziest theme park ride.” This isn’t far off the surreal scenario of his latest flick Cosmopolis, in which the actor plays the young, emotionless, obscenely rich financial visionary Eric Packer. For the London-born star, his new role may be the greatest test yet of whether he can carry over his young vampire romance fans to the R-rated indie film. “I don’t think people realise that the Twilight audience is actually older. Hopefully, they will be the ones who like it,” he said.
