Vidya Balan posed exclusively for HT during her recent visit to Delhi. She was here as the brand ambassador of a campaign to raise awareness about sanitation.
Since it’s the season of weddings in Bollywood, fans can’t wait for actor Vidya Balan, 34, to tie the knot with her beau, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, 38. So is it indeed December, as the buzz is? Vidya decides to beat around the bush. “Of course, I will be happy to get married ‘someday’,” said
Balan, who was in the capital on Friday as the brand ambassador of a campaign to raise awareness about sanitation.

Asked if this is a pre-cursor to any closet political aspirations perhaps inspired by veteran Rekha whom she has been often compared to, she said, “I truly respect Rekhaji a lot but I don’t see myself in Parliament or in politics. I am happy doing films.”

Talking about her upcoming projects, Vidya said, “My next release will be Ghanchakkar with Emraan Hashmi. I play a homemaker in it. My character makes a point that housewives aren’t boring.”
