Cricketer Yuvraj Singh says his new life is inspired by former American racing cyclist and cancer survivor, Lance Armstrong.
“Lance is a real-life hero for me. His cancer was worse than mine. I’m highly inspired by Lance Armstrong. Even Youwecan (his initiative to combat cancer) has come
from Livestrong (Armstrong’s similar initiative),” said Yuvi, who held a press meet in the Capital on Saturday after having successfully combated cancer.

The 30-year-old, who underwent treatment in the US, said, “Indirectly or directly, I am the face of cancer in India. And I hope we can make the society in India cancer-free.”
He is now hoping to make a comeback in the next T20 World Cup (in September).
“My target is to come back in the T20 World Cup. I have to build a new body. I have started training and in another two months, I’ll be back on track,” said Singh, adding, “It’s nice to be back, having normal meals and being like a normal human being. I now know what it means to breathe normally. God just pushed me a little bit towards himself and gave me a second chance. I don’t take my health for granted anymore.”
Asked about marriage, he said, “All I want to say is that a cancer survivor is a very strong individual and whosoever marries one will be very happy.”
