After a public fall out with Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar called a truce by inviting her to his 40th birthday bash. Now, the chat show host has admitted that he overreacted in the whole episode.
"I picked up the phone and reacted like a pressure cooker. Then I realised it wasn't worth it. I called her and said I was turning 40. I have a great EQ (emotional quotient) with her. I've shared several warm moments with PC. Since I am the older one, I decided to be mature," the filmmaker told Mumbai Mirror.
"Well, I can say that there is absolutely no problem between Priyanka and me. We have had an extremely good professional and personal experience over the years. I hope it continues that way," Karan Johar told Bollywood Hungama in a recent interview.
With Karan's ever expanding plate of films in months to come and some important announcements waiting to happen, can Priyanka expect to feature in the scheme of things? "Why not? Priyanka has worked in two of our important films (Dostana, Agneepath). I am sure we would work together again," he told the tabloid.
What had happened
Mumbai Mirror carried a story on April 3 quoting Priyanka Chopra's unnamed friends strongly defending her in the allegations of a rumoured affair with Shah Rukh Khan and hinting that Karan Johar had been bitching about her.
In no time, a fuming Karan Johar had tweeted: "Using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind so called "friends" to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame!!" He added: "Some people need to wake up and smell the KOFFEE!!! Get a reality check before it's too late!!! Grow up!!! and don't mess with goodness."
