Dubai model Omar Borkan Al Gala, who was reportedly deported from Saudi Arabia in April for being, too sexy, is riding high on fame. In an exclusive chat with us, the 25-year-old internet sensation says he fears nothing and is determined to make it big. “I don’t have any reason to be afraid,” he says.

Omar caught the world’s attention when reports went viral that he was kicked out from a festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as officials feared that women would find him “irresistible”. Yet another version of the story, however, is that he was held up for dirty dancing.

The 25-year-old, whose fan following has crossed 1 million on Facebook in just two months of the incident, has moved to Canada. Having stoked the ire of religious zealots, does he ever fear that someone may try to harm him? “No. I don't see that happening to me,” says Omar, who believes it’s time Islamic nations became more liberal. “There are so many talented individuals there who are denied opportunities.”

Sick of speculations about him on the internet, Omar is making an autobiographical documentary. “Let my film reveal my real story to the world. There are so many rumours ... you’ll get to know the exact truth in my film.”

As for his looks, he’d rather bite the humble pie. “I don’t think I’m that handsome … for a man, confidence, sense of humour and character matter much more anyway!” he says, adding that he won’t let this fame get to his head.

One fit Bollywood co-star for him? “I’m a big Bollywood buff and I dream of working with Aishwarya Rai one day.”
