In spite of being the youngest Khan in B-town, Imran Khan's popularity has been soaring among college students. A source close to the actor says, "In the last few months, Imran has been approached to be part of various youth centric events and college festivals across India. After the success of Delhi Belly (2011), he has also been invited to take part in debates, judge contests, or to talk about youth issues."

The source further tells us that Imran's demand is higher as far as the women's colleges are concerned. But since the actor has been busy juggling multiple projects - Matru ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Milan Talkies and Punit Malhotra's next - he had had to reject most of these offers.

Imran Khan's spokeperson says, "We are trying to work out Imran's schedule to make time so that he is able to be part of at least some events." Imran's popularity among the youth grew when he  raised his voice against the government's decision to keep the drinking age in the country at 25. At that time, the actor even filed a petition demanding the age limit be brought down to 21.
