Hollywood heartthrob Ashton Kutcher came to the country in the end of August to shoot for a Steve Jobs biopic. He was spotted in the bylanes of Delhi, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand for the film titled — Jobs: Get Inspired — by Joshua Michael Stern. Ashton also took out time for an NGO in Delhi. “Met some powerful girls today in Delhi at Apne Aap: A grassroots movement to end sex trafficking.” he had tweeted.
The Oscar winning director was here in March to shoot for Zero Dark Thirty, a film based on Osama Bin Laden. She faced protest from radicals for recreating Pakistan in Punjab and had to wrap up her shoot before the scheduled time. On her experience in India, she had said: “It was a good experience, though there were lots of controversies regarding recreating Abottabad in Chandigarh, but in the end, it all went good.”
The supermodel short-listed Jodhpur, Rajasthan, as the location to celebrate her boyfriend Vladimir Doronin’s 50th birthday in November. Naomi and her supermodel friends Kate Moss, Karolina Kurkova and Eva Herzigova were dressed in traditional Indian outfits for the party. Naomi looked pretty in a lehenga-choli designed by Manav Gangwani.
International socialite Paris Hilton made the country groove to her tunes when she turned DJ at the India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW) in Goa this month. Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias enthralled one and all on his three-city tour in Pune in October. Other musical sensations who visited the country were David Guetta (March), Korn (September), Carlos Santana (October) Megadeth (October), and Guns N’ Roses (December).
