Hip-hop star John Legend is engaged to his girlfriend Chrissy Teigen. The Ordinary People hitmaker proposed to Teigen over the festive period while they enjoyed a holiday in the Maldives, Femalefirst reported. "John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," said his representative Cindi Berger in a statement.

Following their break to the Maldives, the couple, who have been in a relationship with for over four years, flew to Thailand to spend time with the 26-year-old model's parents and sister.

"Did another vacation cooking class! This one wasn't quite as interactive everything was already chopped and measured and chopping is pretty much our favorite thing ever. Pad Thai, Panang curry, and som tum, or papaya salad," posted Teigen on Twitter.
