Justin Bieber has received Artist of the Year award at the 2010 American Music Awards and has been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

Singer Will.i.am has defended Justin Bieber following the youngster's disastrous trip to London last week. The former insists Bieber is a good kid. The 37-year-old has revealed he reached out to the Baby hitmaker following his controversial visit to London last week, where he angered fans

by taking the stage two hours late at a concert, and even got into a heated argument with a photographer.

"I already gave (advice) to him on the phone. He's good, he's a good kid. When you're 17, 18, 19, 20 the world can get you off course, but he's gonna be alright," contactmusic.com quoted Will.i.am as saying.

"He has a good family, good people around him. Just every once in a while there's a bump in the road," he added.
