Protesters in Pakistan have removed the banners and billboards featuring Katrina Kaif's Veet ad and have replaced them with black banners with the tagline - Sell clothes, not your honour, according to media reports.

The protest campaign has been attributed to unheard of groups such as the
Women Education Society and the Women Professional Forum, said a report.

Apart from Katrina Kaif, Pakistan actor Meera's ads have met a similar fate. The actor's Lux ads are blacked out too.

Wonder what could be the reason behind their protest? Dale Bhagwagar, Meera's PR person in India tries to answer.

"Moral policing the roads in the age of the internet is like asking your toddler not to speak to the neighboring toddler because she has a doll resembling a sex toy. It just doesn't work," said Meera's Bollywood publicist Dale Bhagwagar in a statement.

"In any case, showing off a little skin with a sleeveless blouse or a backless dress, couldn't be reason enough to black out posters and hoardings," added the PR official.
