Fans of Lady Gaga brought down the internet servers after tickets for her South African concerts went up for sale. Devotees flocked online after passes to Gaga’s upcoming Born This Way Ball shows were released, just 24 hours after the pop star announced plans to play two concerts in the
country later this year.

However, thousands of fans were left in limbo when web servers shut down after struggling to meet the high booking demands.

“Just woke up to emails saying South African monsters (fans) crashed the online ticket servers due to high demand for The BTW Ball! I cant believe it!” the Daily Express quoted the singer as posting on Twitter.

The 24-year-old singer assured followers the glitch would be sorted out, and added “I can’t wait!!! Ah!!”

“We apologise for the inconvenience and have implemented a workaround to solve this issue,” web retailer Computicket stated in a statement.

The Poker Face hitmaker will be performing in Johannesburg on November 30 and in Cape Town on December 3.
