A pair of silk pyjamas and a bed once used by Michael Jackson have been auctioned for £7,700 at an auction in Ireland. The pyjamas were sold to an American entertainment company for £2300, while the carved mahogany bed was sold to an undisclosed Irish bidder for £5400. Both items were
used by the late singer when he and his young children stayed at Coolatore House in County Westmeath, Ireland in 2006.

According to auctioneer Damien Matthews of Matthews Auction Rooms, the superstar told his hosts he had never slept better in his life than he did there.

“When he was leaving, he left his hat and his pyjamas as a gift. He told the owners of the house that he had had a marvellous time and that Coolatore was the only place where they had ever felt like a real family,” the Daily Express quoted auctioneer Damien Matthews as saying.
