Zeenat Aman’s upcoming wedding is the talk of the town these days, but it seems she had one more contender for her hand. At the HT Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 Awards held on Thursday, we overheard Amitabh Bachchan telling Zeenat that as a kid, his son Abhishek had had a huge crush on her and even
wanted to marry her.
Zeenat, a member of the jury who selected the 20 winners of the HT Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 Awards, could only blush in response, while for a moment there it seemed as though Abhishek hasn’t gotten over his crush — he asked a passing photographer to click a picture of himself with Zeenat, just like any smitten fan.
Later, on stage, Zeenat presented Abhishek with his award and regaled the audience with stories of the actor as a little boy. “He was a wide-eyed little boy peeking from behind his mother’s sari pallu, and here he is, a dad himself, so charming and suave, pedigreed, a thoroughbred. His sense of style is so effortless. There’s a quality about Abhishek which just shines through — that’s his goodness and his mischief,” she said.
