Suniel Shetty is the captain of team-Mumbai Heroes.
Suniel Shetty is busy preparing to launch his new interior decoration showroom in Worli. And the building in which the store will soon be unveiled, is one that the actor shares a special attachment with.

“This is where my father, Veerappa Shetty, used to work. He used to clean plates here
since he worked as a waiting boy at a restaurant. My father is my real hero. He started working at the age of nine. He used to sleep on flattened mustard sacks and used a rolled-up gunny bag as a pillow,” says Suniel.

By 1943, his father had bought the entire building, which is located next to the Four Seasons Hotel in Worli. “My father’s boss called him to manage a new business he was setting up here. Slowly, he was able to buy the property,” reveals the actor.

The Shetty family used to run a hotel named Broadway in that building, which has now been renovated to launch the new showroom. Suniel has joined hands with wife Mana and sister Sujata for this. His real estate project, Discovery is also involved in this new venture. “My father will be inaugurating the showroom,” he says.

A plant-lover, Suniel has ensured that the new showroom is an eco-friendly space. The actor has designed a special corner that will serve as a bird-feeding area.

“I have made it greener. I hope that our store can also inspire people to take up the cause of green living,” he says.
