Priyanka Chopra loves Kolkata-City of Joy

After shooting for her recent hit Barfi! with Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra is going back to Kolkata for Yash Raj Films’ Gunday, with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. Awed by the love and affection that she was received while shooting for her last film in the city, she is excited to visit again on
December 17.
“Kolkata brought a lot of joy to Priyanka Chopra as her performance in Barfi! was appreciated and everyone felt that she had done a fabulous job. In fact, after the shooting she was heard saying that Kolkata is her favourite city and she loves working there,” says a source close to the actor. Priyanka had shot for a long time for a major portion of Barfi! and the song Phir le aaya dil from the film in the West Bengal capital. “Now, she will start shooting Gunday there, by the end of this year itself,” says the source.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Gunday is set during Kolkata’s unsettled times in the early ’70s. The film looks at how Ranveer and Arjun grow from being small-time, inconsequential wagon-breakers and coal thieves, to the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia men. “This is the first time Priyanka working with Arjun and Ranveer. She plays an important character in their lives,” says the source.
When contacted Priyanka’s publicist confirmed that she is headed to Kolkata soon.
