Yes, you read that right! Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone apparently went on a lunch date on New Year. The duo spotted enjoying special lunch at a Mumbai eatery, reports Mid-Day.
The tabloid quoted a source saying, “The location was chosen keeping in mind that Dippy’s pad is in central Mumbai. Ranveer is a suburb guy but he doesn’t mind travelling across the city. They are good friends."
Deepika and Ranveer have been spending lot of time together as they are shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela. In fact, off the sets too they have become close friends, Mid-Day suggests.

Deepika Padukone is the perfect Leela: Ranveer Singh
Deepika Padukone bagged the role of the female lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela (working title) after talks with Kareena Kapoor didn’t materialise. And although the film’s male lead is “disappointed” about not getting to work with Bebo, Ranveer Singh feels Deepika is “the closest” the makers have got to finding the perfect Leela.
“She definitely looks the part better than anyone else. When Bhansali sir and I started working on the film a few months ago, we browsed through lots of books on rural Gujarat. He would often point to pictures of traditional Gujarati girls and say, ‘This is what Leela looks like’. They are slender, dusky and have sharp features,” says Ranveer. RANVEER TALKS
