Saif Ali Khan, who is booked for allegedly assaulting businessman Iqbal Sharma, is on his way to Colaba police station with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.

He is likely to be booked under the Indian Penal Code 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), which is a bailable offence.

The scuffle took place at Taj Palace in Colaba in Mumbai when Iqbal asked Saif Ali Khan to lower his volume. The actor, in turn asked him to go to a library if he wanted.

An argument ensued and Saif allegedly punched the complainant in the nose. Iqbal has sustained a nose bone fracture.

Trade honcho Iqbal Nadim Sharma, 44, is a resident of Mumbai and a South African national of Indian origin. He was dining with his family at the same restaurant where Saif and girlfriend Kareena were also present.
