An exctatic Saina on her book launch talked about the book Playing to Win being a story about her journey to become a champion in New Delhi on November 28.
Bollywood, ice-creams and aloo ka paranthas are few of badminton star Saina Nehwal’s favourite things. The 23-year-old Olympian revealed this at the launch of her autobiography titled, Playing to Win, in Delhi. Speaking to the audience she said, “I am a huge Bollywood fan and my
favourite actor of all time is Shah Rukh Khan. I love all of his movies, but my favourite has to be DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge).”

The book which describes Saina’s journey to becoming one of the best badminton player’s in the world, also talks about the small joys that the girl from Andhra Pradesh lives for. “After I win a match, I celebrate it by having an ice-cream. It’s impossible to do something else because the schedule is really tight,” she said.

Saina also relishes her mother’s aloo ke paranthe when she is at home. “Her paranthas are out of this world,” she shared.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh was also present at the event but wanted Saina to be in the limelight. “It’s all about her (Saina) tonight. I admire her, as you do, as a fan. I genuinely feel that she is the best badminton player ever.”
