The Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan war has never showed signs of dying down, and Sallu has confirmed this by taking several digs at SRK, lately.

While shooting for an ad in Mumbai recently, when the director asked Salman to do a retake so that he could get his expressions right, the actor
allegedly shot back saying, “Agar acting hi karani hai, toh Hrithik ko le lete. Aur agar over acting karani hai toh Shah Rukh ko le lete.”

And that’s not all. At an event on Saturday night, Salman reportedly took a veiled dig at SRK who’s been performing at award functions and has won some.

“I don’t feel I have done anything so far to deserve an award. But the day I do, let me assure you I will take home the award, no matter how much anyone else lobbies for it,” said Salman. Interestingly, while Salman  tweeted in strong defence of actor Kamal Haasan who recently faced opposition from religious groups over his film Vishwaroopam, he chose to not speak up for SRK who, too, battled a religious controversy over an article he wrote in an international magazine.

The two actors have been in a cold war since 2008 when they came to blows during actor Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. Of late, it seemed as if they’d made peace when Salman praised Shah Rukh’s hard work while hosting TV reality show Bigg Boss.

However he later clarified saying, “I also mentioned Preity Zinta. I wonder why people are not talking about that.” Industry experts say  that in a way, the rivalry benefits them. “Looks like they enjoy taking these digs. They can’t ignore each other,” says trade analyst Atul Mohan.
