Salman Khan, who usually keeps his audience entertained with his masala movies, went a step further on Monday. The actor surprised — or shocked? — the passengers on a JetKonnect flight by boarding the plane with an economy class ticket. On Monday morning, Salman returned to Mumbai from
Hyderabad after attending a Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) match. Actors Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Chitrangda Singh, Suniel Shetty and director Apoorva Lakhia also flew back on the same flight.

The actor’s arrival at the Hyderabad airport caused the usual chaos. But his fans thought the show was over when he began heading towards the boarding gates, assuming he would fly either business or first class.

However, everyone was taken aback when Salman proceeded towards the economy section and went about locating his window seat with his bodyguard Shera and a friend. Suniel and Apoorva, incidentally, were seated in the so-called ‘premium class’.

Salman, who usually isn’t the most approachable actor, was in a pleasant mood. When the airhostesses asked him for a picture, he gladly obliged. And he continued pleasing his co-passengers by signing autographs for about 20 minutes.

Even though Salman did not seem troubled with the attention, the confined leg space was beginning to cause some discomfort as he was struggling to get in and out of his seat. Luckily, moments before the flight was ready to take off, the attendants managed to find the actor a first class seat.
