When Hrithik Roshan turns a year older, it's got to be in style! The Krrish actor's wife threw him a fancy party on a yacht that saw the likes of Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and even Karan Johar. Take a look.
A source close to Cineyug (organisers for the upcoming Star Screen Awards) says, “Shah Rukh Khan was rehearsing for his upcoming performance at the award ceremony at Bandra Kurla Complex till about 7 am on Thursday morning. The award function is in a couple of days, and Shah Rukh is hosting the event, and has an elaborate performance.” A friend close to Shah Rukh Khan, however, says that the actor was in Wai shooting for Chennai Express. The actor also had a media event to attend on Thursday morning (January 10) for a cell phone brand.
However, while professional commitments may be the apparent reason, there may have been more to Shah Rukh Khan’s absence. Hrithik’s friend Arjun Rampal was one of those involved in hosting the party. And talks of a rift between SRK and Arjun have been doing the rounds lately. Interestingly, the two actors avoided each other even at the launch of celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani’s 2013 calendar earlier this week.
“It might have been a coincidence, but Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal were seen bonding at the launch. And Shah Rukh Khan made any entry only after the two of them left,” says a guest at the event. Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun have worked together in Om Shanti Om (2007) and RA.One (2011) and have been known to be good friends. However, talks of a rift started after Ra.One.
At the same time, a tabloid also reported Arjun’s increasing proximity to the rival Khan – Salman Khan. We tried to contact Shah Rukh Khan for a comment, but he could not be reached. His spokesperson refused to comment on his behalf.
