Most youngsters may be in a hurry to move into their independent pads. However, actor Sonakshi Sinha would rather stay with her folks. The Sinhas recently moved into their newly-renovated family home, Ramayan (the bungalow was razed to make space for the separate apartments for the Sinha family. However, the Dabangg actor is in no mood to go her separate way.
Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of a Westerner with Indian origins. She comes from abroad when she hears of this mysterious place, and the story develops from there on.
So while Sonakshi’s brothers Luv and Kush have moved into apartments of their own in the building, she has decided to turn her space into a workplace of sorts. “It’s not like Luv and Kush are living separately,” says Sonakshi, adding, “Our home is like a duplex-styled apartment now. So, Luv and Kush are staying below, while my parents and I will be on the upper floor.”
As for her apartment, Sona already has plans up her sleeve: “I am turning my flat into a studio where I will practice my dance sequences, have meetings and carry out my work.” Sona is gearing up for her next release, Joker, with Akshay Kumar.
Interestingly, when the construction work began, rumours were rife that Sonakshi wanted to move into her own apartment. The Sinhas too felt that their daughter needed her own space, as she was a busy star. However, Sona rubbishes the reports.
“I will be staying with my parents. I don’t think I can manage without them.”
Ask her how she plans to do up her work studio, and Shotgun’s little girl says, “It’s (interior decoration) happening, but slowly. I want to be involved in each and every detail, but I barely find time these days. So everything depends on my mother right now,” she says, adding, “In fact, I haven’t even taken my stuff out from the cartons and boxes. Whenever I get time, I will do it.”
