It seems like the online world has become obsessed with adult film star Sunny Leone, even if it means poking fun at her. The 30-year-old, who became popular during her stint in reality show Bigg Boss Season 5, is now the subject of an online parody, which has got a large number of hits after
going viral on You Tube.
The video, which is part of an episode of the online show, Jai Hind! lampoons Leone and her stay in the Bigg Boss House. The Host, TV actor Sumeet Raghvan, makes fun of the porn star entering the reality show dressed as a bride. Raghvan goes on to jest about Leone being offered Jism 2 by filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt because of her ‘assets’.
The objectionable content of the particular episode made You Tube slap an age restriction on the same while social networking website Facebook deleted one of the cross posts from Twitter on Jay Hind!’s Facebook page.
The post read, “If just the mention of Sunny Leone can push a video to such popularity, we must be a porn starved nation.” Raghavan adds, “The age restriction is baffling.”
“On the one hand, you have what is clearly a country of citizens which laps up porn. And on the other, you have a certain section of the society that takes the moral high ground and decides what one should watch,” says Abhigyan Jha, creator and director of Jay Hind! “Leone can appear on TV, but jokes on her are restricted on Facebook and You Tube. Censorship needs to take a relook at itself,” he adds.
