Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate has been widely appreciated by masses as well as people from film fraternity. The excited actor spoke to media after the first episode of the show was aired.
 Aamir Khan's debut TV show is making waves across the nation. So it came as no surprise when the show garnered overall rating of 4.27 TVR (including terrestrial of DD) in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, reports Indiantelevision.com.

The show that started on
May 6 this year was simulcast on Star Plus, Star Pravah (Marathi), DD National, Star Utsav, ETV (Telugu), Vijay (Tamil), Star Jalsha (Bengali), Star World (English) and Asianet (Malayalam).

Satyamev Jayate has reached out to 8.96 million people in the age group of 4+, according to the data provided by TAM Media Research.

The show's primetime telecast was viewed by as many as 81,46,000 viewers in the C&S 4+ age group; for the all 4+ markets, the cumulative reach of the same during the primetime telecast was 89,60,000. Aamir's show has garnered 3.79 TVR (Star Plus)  across the three metros (Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata) in the HSM market.



People connect
As the first episode of his debut TV show Satyamev Jayate was aired, about 100,000 people dialled in to speak to the superstar to initiate a serious discussion on social issues facing the nation.

Though a lot of people tuned in to Star Plus to watch the show, and subsequently took to social networking platforms to share their views on it, Aamir says Television Rating Points (TRPs) do not matter.

The Star Plus show, which went on air Sunday brunch time 11 a.m., caught the attention of viewers from all quarters of the nation.

Aamir Khan an actor, producer and director was born on March 14, 1965. He started his career as a child actor at the age of eight in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973).
