Anil Kapoor has managed to keep most details about his television debut under wraps. But soon, viewers will get to see the first trailer of the Indian adaptation of the American show, 24.

Unlike most TV producers, Kapoor will not reveal the first look on the small screen. Instead, he will unveil the promo on the big screen. "The plan was to attach the promo to Chennai Express. But since the trailer wasn’t ready by then, the release was postponed. Now, the promo will probably be seen in theatres with John Abraham’s Madras Café," says a source.

The show’s director, Abhinay Deo, says the trailer deserves a big-screen launch because “even though 24 is a TV show, it is being treated like a feature film."

He adds, "Everything about it is in the zone of a film. It’ll be like an hour-long movie that the audience will get to watch every week. The storytelling, (sequences that have been shot at) real locations (in Mumbai), action, cast and the look of the show, will hopefully set new standards for television in India."
