Balika Vadhu (Colors) - Set in rural Rajasthan, the family drama changed the face of Indian television in 2008 and continued to rule the charts this year with its gripping script. It deals with grave social issues like child marriage, perils of teen pregnancy and mismatched marriage.
She will compete with celebrity contestants from all walks of life for the title. This year's list of participants is likely to see the likes of Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya and ghazal singer Talat Aziz.
The judges' panel will have Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza.
The show is expected to go on air next month on Colors.
