Shiva goes strong
Life OK’s popular mythological saga, Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev, continued its strong run with the maha-episode (aired on September 9) that recorded 8.2 — the highest TVR rating for any General Entertainment Channel.

Producer Nikhil Sinha says, “The show has connected with the audience. The story of Shiva’s life has never been told this way before. The casting has also worked in our favour. It is very motivating to receive positive feedback, especially from the younger audiences that watch the show. The TRPs have been an icing on the cake.”

Gurmeet gives a miss
For the Ganesh Chaturthi special episode of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, the makers had planned dance cameos by several actors. Gurmeet Chaudhary, who was also to perform, had to back out at the last minute due to personal reasons, leaving the team in limbo. Fortunately, actor Ravi Dubey saved the day by agreeing to fill in for Gurmeet.

Kashmiri delights
Sargun Mehta, last seen in Phulwa on Sab TV, recently shot in Kashmir for Star Plus’ Teri Meri Love Stories. And the actor couldn’t get enough of  Kashmiri delicacies. “I am a foodie and I gorged on  local food like seekh kebab to aloo bukhara,” she says.
