Viola Davis holds her Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for Fences.
Jessica Chastain (Tree of Life) and James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) already on board The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, actors Isabelle Huppert, Viola Davis and William Hurt have joined the cast of the drama. Now filming in New York, the story written/directed by Ned Benson follows a
New York City wife surprising her restaurateur husband with the decision to return to college. There will be two films, told from the point of view of either the husband and wife.

Ciaran Hinds (John Carter) also costars, as does Bill Hader (SNL) and, in the role of the couple's therapist, Nina Arianda (Midnight in Paris) will join the cast. Recently it was announced that she landed the lead role in the Janis Joplin biopic Janis.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is filming in New York and will be released in 2013.
