If you've gone overboard on your caffeine consumption, here's one possible remedy to untangle your jittery nerves: eat a banana. Culinary blog Serious Eats posed the question on how to cope with overcaffeination to 13 baristas, who have likely tossed back a few too many espressos, with
the most popular answer being bananas. Other answers included drinking water, walking and having a full stomach.

Lifehacker reported that there may be some scientific truth to the banana remedy. According to Livestrong, they cite, caffeine can offset the balance of calcium and potassium, which can lead to muscle cramps and other ill effects. So perhaps add a glass of milk or cheese to the potassium-rich banana to boost calcium as well.

Meanwhile, as Lifehacker pointed out, a conversation on Quora adds that banana's high-potassium content could also help regulate muscular and cellular functions and electrolytes.
