Glamour is something that goes without saying at every awards! This time at the Golden Globes we saw majority of floor-length gowns. See for yourself!
The 2013 Golden Globe Awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday was high on elegance and glamour, as always. The trends that caught the eye were the mermaid silhouette, the cutout and soft metallics.
The choice of colours too was quite eclectic, from fiery red to softer hues such as blush,
seafoam, off white and nude-coloured gowns. But there was no dearth of fashion sinners who wore atrocious cuts, flimsy fabrics and prints that didn’t look red carpet worthy. Here’s a lowdown:
Jessica alba
The actor looked stunning in the coral-hued Oscar de la Renta mermaid gown that she paired with an all-fur Roger Vivier clutch and a gorgeous Harry Winston necklace
Anne Hathaway
The Princess Diaries actor indeed looked like a princess in her cute pixie cut and a snow white crystal-encrusted Chanel gown. A simple bracelet completed her look
Jennifer Lopez
The singer-turned-actor arrived late but still managed to make a statement in her sheer Zuhair Murad white gown and flowy locks. Must say, quite a bold choice!
Megan Fox
New mommy Megan Fox flaunted her stunning post-baby figure in a form-fitting Dolce and Gabbana gown. She kept it
simple with a pretty Salvatore Ferragamo clutch
Helena Bonham Carter
The Les Miserables actor indeed looked miserable in her black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress. Adding to the misery was her bizarre red lip clutch
Kelly Osbourne
If her side-swept grey curls weren’t enough, this Zac Posen dress completely let her down with an odd fishtail that made her look no
better than a paper rocket
Lucy Liu
The Charlie’s Angels actor sported a perfect side braid but what didn’t impress was her gown that the fash frat presumes she stitched from her granny’s drapes
Nene Leakes
Leakes’ front slitted trash bag style voluminous skirt made all keep wondering if anyone’s hiding under it
Red rocked:
The sexy and dramatic colour red was favoured by many divas. Claire Danes wore a stunning red Versace gown. Jennifer Lawrence wore a drop waisted, strapless Christian Dior gown that she teamed with a simple black belt. Marion Cotillard too chose an orangish red Christian Dior couture dress that had an asymmetrical hemline.
