The Super Bowl match in New Orleans, US on Sunday was a show of contrasts — while singer Beyonce Knowles lit up the stage with her electrifying performance during the half-time of the football game, her act was followed by a half-an-hour power cut that halted one of the most high-profile sporting
events in the world. And Bollywood stars took to Twitter to react to the proceedings at the game. Actor Priyanka Chopra tweeted, “Fabulous ! That’s a performer! @Beyonce killed it at the Super Bowl! Girl power all the way!” “Beyonce sang like only she does at the Super Bowl,” filmmaker Kunal Kohli tweeted. The singer wore a plunging leather corset and a skirt by lesser-known New York-based designer Rubin Singer. She later she got rid of her skirt to reveal a lace underlay.

However the powercut had our stars taking a dig at the arrangements at the US stadium. Actor Arjun Rampal, who was at the game, tweeted: “Ok, so India isn’t the only country with power cuts, USA gets it in the middle of a Super Bowl.” IPL team owner Siddharth Mallya took digs through his tweets: “Ha ppl laugh when floodlights fail at IPL games...it happened at the Super Bowl! The so called ‘greatest’ sporting event on the planet!!! (sic)...apparently the lights failed because Beyonce's lip sync machine used up the power haha!!.”
