Even though both Ranbir and Imran have delivered almost the same number of hits and misses, Imran’s popularity graph seems to be lagging behind that of Ranbir. Ask Imran about the same and he says: “I don’t really know …nor have I ever thought about it this way.” We prod if Ranbir’s bachelorhood and link-ups could be fetching him more headlines, and Imran says: “If you are single, there are a lot of link-up rumours that are bound to happen. For me, it has never entered my thought process... any controversy or link up… so I’m happy staying away for it.”
Not just in personal life, even in his professional life, Imran does not prefer seeking undue attention. An example could be his liplock with his Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola co-star Anushka Sharma, that was never used as a publicity gimmick for the film. “There are some films that have kissing or intimate scenes for attention, titillation or publicity. Their makers might use such scenes to promote the film, but in our film, the couple had a romantic attachment so they kiss and it was not meant for publicity.”
After his box office dud Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Imran is back in news for his upcoming film opposite Kareena Kapoor titled, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, directed by Punit Malhotra.
