Salman Khan looked disappointed with the performance of the Mumbai Heroes against the Telugu Warriors on Sunday, at the Lal Bahadur Stadium. The actor who is the face of the CCL (Celebrity Cricket Team), believes that he must tighten his hold over the team (led by brother Sohail Khan) and “make them play well”.

Salman flew from Mumbai to Hyderabad to cheer the team, but that didn’t seem to affect their performance. The Telugu Warriors won the match by six wickets.

Captain Suniel Shetty dislocated a finger bone and Aditya Roy Kapur injured himself during practice.

Salman may not be that hopeful of the team’s prospects, but he does seem to think that the cricket league is a wonderful way to bring together actors from all across the country.

“We could also make a film on cricket with these stars, technically, but we can’t afford that,” says Salman.

Along with Salman, brand ambassador for CCL season three Bipasha Basu and Mumbai Heroes’ official faces Nargis Fakhri and Chitrangda Singh were also present.

Security lapse in Hyderabad
Salman Khan’s convoy was chased by fans on bikes as he left the Lal Bahadur Stadium after the match. Bikers got close to his car and tried blocking the way. When one of the cars slowed down, they even started banging on the windows. The mob injured a couple of CCL representatives who tried helping Salman. “The police tried to control the situation and even resorted to lathi charge,” says a source.
Salman looked angry when he reached his hotel. A group of police officials came to the hotel within a few minutes of his arrival. They spoke to the hotel staff and left in a hurry.
Salman was expected at the after party, which was being held at the hotel, but didn’t turn up until late at night.

Riteish Deshmukh was seen cheering for his former team Mumbai Heroes, along with wife Genelia D’Souza

Riteish Deshmukh is leading the brand new team Veer Marathi at this year’s Celebrity Cricket League. But at a recent game, he made his love for former team Mumbai Heroes evident.

Riteish, along with his actor-wife Genelia D’Souza, was on the field cheering for the Mumbai Heroes last Sunday in Hyderabad, where they were playing against Telugu Warriors.

Genelia was seen waving the Mumbai Heroes flag and kept jumping and dancing with every four or six the players hit.

Though they left after the first half, the couple also went around and chatted with Salman Khan and were also seen interacting with the players from Mumbai Heroes, which include actors like Bobby Deol, Sohail Khan, Sonu Sood and Aftab Shivdasani.

Riteish kept screaming words of encouragement to the players. He was there in spite of being in obvious pain after a leg injury he suffered during his game against the Bengal Tigers.

Later, the couple was even spotted briefly at the after-party held at night.
