The scholarship scheme for women scientists for societal programmes is an initiative of the department of science and technology. It is aimed at women who have a “break in their careers” due to social responsibilities but have a desire to return to mainstream science and work as bench-level
scientists

Eligibility: PhD or masters in science or bachelors/masters degree in engineering/technology, architecture, medicine/pharmacy/veterinary, who are currently not employed in permanent positions; the candidate should not be in a contractual/temporary position at the time of joining the project
