Delhi University’s Campus of Open Learning (COL) is inviting applications for admission to four new courses in radio jockeying and TV newsreading (three months), theatre acting and presentation (two months), and 2D animation and 3D animation during the current academic session of 2012. The
classes for the current academic year are scheduled to begin from the August 17, 2012 at COL, Keshavpuram Centre. Online application forms for the above courses can also be downloaded from http://col.du.ac.in

However, students currently pursuing their degree or those who have recently graduated from Delhi University are eligible to join the courses.

Shyam Lal College, Shahdara, has also associated itself with RK Films and Media Academy and proposes to conduct regular and part-time short-term and intensive courses in mass communication and journalism (six months), advertising and public relations (six months), RJ anchoring and newsreading and camera acting (six months). Those who have passed their Class 12 exams are eligible to apply.

“All these courses justify the need of the hour. Recruiters seek enthusiastic graduates and want employees with a broader perspective, enhanced skill sets and added qualifications,” says Deepak Bansal, director, RK Films & Media Academy.

“These courses are not only meant for those pursuing a degree in mass media or journalism, but are also relevant to anyone who wishes to join this sector. These programmes are an added advantage to those pursuing their degree courses,” adds Bansal.
