You changed the world with your dhoti, your lathi and your determination. You  are no longer alive but your memory and your messages lie deep within us. I wish people including myself could follow even one per cent of what you preached, for this would make our lives worthwhile. In a way, I am glad you are no longer among us, as it would break your heart to see the state your beloved Bharat is in; but I do pray that someone like you could come along and teach us to be truthful to ourselves.
 – Radhika Jhalani

The country today is definitely not the one he wished for, but all hope is not lost. For every bad action, there's a good one too. What really matters is where we divert our energy. We still have a long struggle and we, with his blessings and our consistent endeavours, shall continue to fight.
 – Devika Sharma

Gandhiji, your sacrifice for the nation was invaluable. We are indeed lucky to have you as the father of our nation. We, as the youth of the country, will strive to make India the nation you gave your life for.
 -Ummang Sharma Bajpai

I feel sorry that despite your struggle, today’s youth have forgotten their limits and they do not respect their elders. Please come back and save our country. It is not Incredible India any more.
 - Richa Goel

My personal message to Gandhiji would involve thanking him for not just giving this country, but the entire world the Gandhian philosophy. I would also thank him for making me so proud that my birthday falls on October 2!
- Jasmine Bhalla

We need you. Your nation is being marred by lies, hypocrisy, superficiality, social injustice, fragile loyalties. Please rescue your nation.
- Kritika Narula
