Short research and professional visits grants for Indian students in the UK

Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships offers short research and professional visits grants for Indian students in the UK. Grants are provided in the field of history, literature, archaeology, history of art, philosophy, ­performing and ­creative arts. There are 10-15 grants annually of up to £1000 for short research or professional visits to the UK by ­academic research scholars and professionals working in the arts, heritage conservation and the humanities. Grants are generally sufficient for up to three weeks. The last deadline to ­submit applications is December 31, 2013.



Applicants should be Indian citizens ­living in India and aged between 25 and 45 years. They need to state clearly what they want to do in the UK. Good ­knowledge of English is also required. Candidates should have completed their ­studies and have four or more years of research or experience in their specialisation, or be in the final stages of their doctorate. Also, he/she should not have received a CWIT grant within the ­previous five years.

KC Mahindra Scholarships 2014

KC Mahindra Education Trust will offer interest-free loan ­scholarships to Indian nationals for postgraduate studies abroad in various fields. The maximum amount for the scholarship will be Rs. 2 lakh per scholar, except for the three KC Mahindra fellow scholarships for which the ­maximum amount will be Rs. 8 lakhs per scholar.
