Worlds Of Wonder
Spread over an area of 70 acres, Worlds Of Wonder is divided in two zones — La Fiesta, which is basically includes the fun-friendly harmless rides for families and kids — and Road Show, for the adrenaline junkies. The most adventurous and popular ride is the Rockin Roller, which is a three-minute-long adrenaline rush. It goes clockwise and anti- clockwise, spinning in the air three times. There are about 7-8 kiosks for food, but you can also walk over to the Great India Place mall for a meal after an exciting day.

Old Appu Ghar
India’s first amusement park, Appu Ghar in Pragati Maidan was inaugurated on November 19, 1984. Spread over 18 acres of land, it housed 20 rides and a water park in its premises. Appu Ghar successfully operated for two decades because closing down. The park reportedly received an average of 1.4 million visitors annually. Having operated for 23 years, Appu Ghar closed down in 2008. It was shut down to make way for a wing of the Supreme Court. A part of the land was also used by the Delhi Metro to build a station there.
Set far away from Delhi’s hullabaloo, Fun Town is located on Delhi-Rohtak road. It is a pleasant retreat and has a variety of trains — the cat train, mono rail, duck train and many other rides. The water park includes several slides and twisters for you to paddle and splash. There are multi-cuisine fast food centres that serve a variety of dishes. There are dance floors with an in-house DJ. If you stay the night, there are several entertainment options lined up at the resort. Events are organised for special occasions like Children’s day, Friendship day and many other days when you’d like to drive away and chill for a while.

Features Of New Appu Ghar
The new park would come up in two separate complexes in sector 29 and 52 A of Gurgaon, 2 km apart and connected by shuttle buses. It will be built over an area of 58 acres. It will have an amusement park, a water park, a shopping mall and a sports club. A part of it would be opened by March next year while the whole project would be completed within two years. The new Appu Ghar is being designed keeping in mind the diverse culture of the country and handicrafts and folk art will get prominence in the designing.
Located on the Meerut road, Drizzling Land in Ghaziabad has just become more fun. The park authorities have recently added a giant wheel and a merry-go-round to their list of rides. There are various pools for you to splash and splatter, this includes the multiple slide pool, wave pool, family pool. This summer, they introduced chilling showers to beat the heat that was a big hit with the visitors. Come winter, and the temperature will be increased for your comfort. Other attractions include a dance floor with DJ, multi-cuisine food court, a zoo and a kids zone. They also rent out their lush green lawns for private parties.

Started in 2007, this place has become one of the most popular adventure parks in the city. If you want to test your nerves, or bust pent up stress, be sure to get on the Sidewinder. The giant pendulum will lift you, twirl you around and swing you on either sides, at an angle of over 240 degrees. These rides have been provided from those who also supply to Disneyland, and the park has an international safety certification. This island of adventure stretches on a lake and the water rides are fantastic. Attached to the Metro Walk mall, there’s good music, shopping centre and a wide variety of food to choose from.

Wet And Wild
If you are a water baby, then you should visit this water park, which boasts of seven kinds of pools and various slides for different age groups. Once you’re done with the outdoor fun, check out the entertainment centre, that has a bowling alley (Rs.150), a pool table (Rs.150) and other indoor games. You can either eat at the poolside kiosk or, if you’re willing to spend big bucks, you can devour the delicacies at the resort’s restaurant, Harbour House (about Rs.1500-2000 for a meal for two). Unlike most other places, this one also has a bar. Once you’re done splashing in Adam’s ale, visit the Spanish Bar to tank up or take a few swigs.

Splash Water Park
With its fun water slides, simulated rain dance and wave pools, this place is a fun-filled hideout. It has a water park as well as an amusement park. A huge 60 feet tall waterfall — Budha Waterfall —was added to the pool rides this year. Well-lit in the evenings, it’s a big attraction for those seeking to ‘splash’ about in water. There’s ample parking space, a big food plaza, changing rooms and lockers. Rides have been tested for all safely levels. There are trained lifeguards and supervisors to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe visit.

As the name suggests, Aapno Ghar will give you a pleasant home-away-home experience. If you wish to relax, enjoy some sun, breeze and some water rides — this is the place for you. The rides are fairly conventional — Merry-go-round, a rail ride, Columbus and so on. The water park has spiralling slides, rain huts, waterfalls and a leisure pool. This amusement park also has a restaurant called Baza Restaurant which serves Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine.
