City-based Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) is considering a proposal made by Andhra Pradesh (AP) government to set up a satellite campus in Hyderabad, IIM-A sources said on Sunday.

The Rajasekhara Reddy-led Congress government has offered to provide 150 acre land at token rate to set up the campus in the outskirts of state capital, they said.

"We have received a proposal from AP government regarding setting up a satellite campus there. The proposal is under consideration and the board will take a final decision regarding the matter in the next meeting," IIM-A director Samir Barua said.

He, however, refused to divulge further details.

Meanwhile, IIM-A sources said a delegation of senior officials from AP visited the institute to discuss the issue recently.
