Three ships of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) will be decommissioned in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice-Admiral Anil Chopra, a former Director General of ICG, will be the chief Guest at the function where vessels
`Vikram', `Chandbibi' and `Ramadevi' will be withdrawn from active service, according to a Navy release in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Commissioned in December 1983, ICGS Vikram is an offshore patrol vessel that was built by Mumbai-based Mazagaon Dock Ltd.

ICGS Ramadevi, an inshore patrol vessel built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, Kolkata, was commissioned in August 1985.

ICGS Chandbibi, also an inshore patrol vessel, was built by Japan's Sumidagawa Shipping Company, and commissioned in February 1984 at Port Blair, the release said.
