Days after former Congress MP Jaganmohan Reddy’s open statement that it is his favour which is allowing the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh survive, state chief minister Kiran Reddy attacked Jagan, in a way challenging Jagan to pull down his government.

“I’m not at anybody’s mercy. Everyone who is here are at the mercy of Congress,” Reddy, who is in the Capital to meet Congress chief Sonia Gandhi apart from couple of ministers and leaders, told reporters here on Saturday.

“As I’m a gentleman, your (Kiran) government is surviving. Had I told my MLAs to break away from Congress, your government would have collapsed long ago,” Jagan, who held a rally in Delhi last week, said.

Kiran, whose efforts to hold back these MLAs didn't fructify admitted their participation as “embarrassing”. “It is not morally right on their part (to align with Jagan who challenged and exited the party)”, Kiran observed.

The chief minister said it is the late CM YSR and his family that should be indebted to Sonia Gandhi, “as YSR became the chief minister in 2004 and 2009 due to Sonia’s decision”.
